SHOULD YOU GET A 2023 OR 2024 CHEVY EQUINOX?
When browsing the inventory of new Chevrolet models offered by Betten Baker Chevrolet Buick GMC Muskegon, you may notice that the listings include vehicles released for two model years. This happens during an inventory overlap period when automakers release a new model year while still fulfilling factory orders for the current year. The Chevy Equinox is going through such a period in our lot, and this works out to your advantage because you get to compare between model years and determine which is better for your driving style in Muskegon.
CHANGES & DIFFERENCES
In 2024, the Chevy Equinox lineup has a couple of changes that could influence your purchasing decision. The chassis platform, powertrain, driveline, frame, and interior have stayed the same since 2023; the Equinox is still built on the GM D2 platform, and the 1.5L four-cylinder turbocharged engine still pairs to a six-speed transmission. As for trim levels, the Equinox comes in the same four models: LS, LT, RS, and Premier. The changes can be found in the exterior coating choices and the driver-assist suite of advanced safety features.
The exterior paint schemes get two new entries for 2024 near Grand Haven: Riptide Blue and Lakeshore Blue, both metallic coatings. All the previous paint options are available, ranging from Summit White to Radian Red. In addition to these exterior changes, the 2024 Chevy Equinox offers a more comprehensive Driver Confidence package. This package can now be added to the LS trim level for just $395, and it greatly improves upon the 2023 option, which only provides rear parking sensors for $195.
The new Driver Confidence package for the 2024 Chevy Equinox includes collision alerts, emergency braking, HD cameras that monitor all vehicle surroundings and blind zones, rear parking assistance, and the StabiliTrak system of electronic traction management.
