WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 2023 AND 2024 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500

As the new year approaches, Chevrolet truck models will arrive at various dealerships across Muskegon. While you may like the former 2023 Chevrolet Silverado, the new 2024 model will probably come with a few changes and modifications. Our staff at Betten Baker Chevrolet GMC Cadillac Buick discusses the differences between the 2023 and the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado to help you make an informed buying decision.

PERFORMANCE

While the two trucks have similar performance features, the 2.7-liter high-output I4 engine in the 2023 Chevy Silverado is now christened TurboMax in the 2024 Silverado. Another incredible difference is that the available Off-road ZR2 trim can receive power from the 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine on top of the 6.2-liter V8 powerhouse. It was only powered by the V8 engine in the 2023 lineup.

SAFETY

Unlike in the 2023 model, the optional Safety and Work Safety Package has new additions, including Front and Rear Park Assist. Adaptive Cruise Control, which was optional across the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 lineup, is now standard in the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country trim. This addition is great as it allows you to confidently tackle long drives through Grand Haven.

EXTERIOR

While the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 maintains most of its exterior looks in its subsequent iteration, there are a few differences. The 2024 Chevy Silverado has two additional exterior paint options: Slate Gray Metallic and Lakeshore Blue Metallic. High Country trims in the 2024 truck group receive a Midnight Edition, which entails 18-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels and a 2-inch factory lift.
